The nutrition therapy room, where client sessions take place
Nutrition Therapy
I provide nutrition therapy for clients in need of support with eating disorder recovery, Intuitive Eating, and addressing medical conditions through nutrition.
My approach is weight-inclusive, meaning I focus on non-weight-based markers of health and wellbeing.
It is most helpful if you bring current lab values/test results so that I can make the most appropriate recommendations for you.

Family-Based Nutrition Therapy
Family-based nutrition therapy is defined as family-involved care, most commonly for a child, adolescent, or transition-aged youth. I provide support for the client as well as all caregivers for the client.
Our sessions may include a combination of time all together, alone with the client, and alone with caregivers to provide different aspects of support.

Support Groups
Struggling with food and your body is an isolating experience, and meeting with others in the same struggle fosters hope and connection.

Clinical Supervision & Case Consultation
Eating disorder treatment and weight-inclusive healthcare are rarely taught in core training of any health discipline. If you are a professional looking to grow your skills in these areas, or need guidance on evidence-based interventions for clients you don’t feel prepared to treat, brief case consultation or ongoing clinical supervision can improve your confidence and client outcomes.
I am an iaedp-approved consultant and can assist those pursuing the CEDS credential to meet their supervision requirements.
Fees vary, $125-150 per hour (packages available at reduced rates)
Speaking/Programs
I love sharing about non-diet nutrition, Health at Every Size, eating disorders, and healing body image. Suitable for a variety of businesses and organizations.
I am available for professional training on eating disorders for dietitians, therapists and medical professionals.
I am passionate about teaching children how to have a healthy relationship with food and their bodies. I donate my time to schools to speak on enjoying food, respecting one’s body, and about eating disorders in an age-appropriate fashion. My donated time is limited so please contact me for availability.

FAQ
What is Intuitive Eating?
Intuitive Eating is an evidence-based approach to re-learn how to listen to the body’s cues to guide eating, and allowing your body to settle at its natural weight. Satisfaction with eating is at the core of Intuitive Eating, with other principles including utilizing internal hunger and fullness cues to guide your eating, respecting your body, addressing emotional eating and more.
Can we meet via telehealth?
Yes, I am licensed in Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska and Missouri. If you live in one of these states, we can meet virtually through a HIPAA-compliant, secure platform.
Do you take insurance?
I do not take insurance directly. You may use your Flex or HSA funds at the time of your session. Nutrition benefits vary by insurance plan, and some clients receive reimbursement by submitting medical receipts or “Superbills” to their out-of-network benefits. I will provide a Superbill upon request.
How can I get help with grocery shopping and during meals?
Active clients can schedule appointments for support with specific food-related experiences. I can accompany clients to the grocery store, assisting with food budgeting, expanding food variety, debunking label claims, etc. I can also schedule sessions at a restaurant to assist with ordering fear foods and working through other challenges of eating in public. We can also schedule a supported meal session in the office or via telehealth.
When you arrive, have a seat in the waiting room. This area is also where support groups are held.
